MyDiskFix is a Windows application that allows you to determine the actual capacity of counterfeit flash drives or memory cards. Additionally, the utility enables formatting the storage device to destroy all data.

Purpose

Dishonest sellers often use special tools to fake the capacity of flash drives or memory cards. For example, when connecting the device to a computer, you may see that its capacity is 64 gigabytes. However, when attempting to write data or format it, it turns out that the actual capacity of the flash drive is only eight gigabytes. Thanks to MyDiskFix, you can verify the capacity of the storage device and determine its true size.

Usage

Firstly, you need to download and launch the H2testw program to find out the number of physical sectors. Then, you have to enter the obtained value into the corresponding field located on the home page of the MyDiskFix app. Please note that it is necessary to run the utility as an administrator.

Next, you have to select the low-level formatting method and click the START Format button. During the operation, it is not recommended to disconnect the storage device, as this may damage it.

After the utility completes its work, you can get access to the information about the actual capacity of the flash drive or memory card.
