mRemoteNG is a versatile Windows program designed for the purpose of initiating and managing remote connections from a multi-tabbed interface. System administrators may use this tool to simplify handling their routine tasks.
Overview
With this application, you are able to control remote connections. It supports a wide range of network protocols including:
- RDP;
- VNC;
- SSH;
- Telnet;
- ICA;
- HTTP and others.
The multi-tabbed interface allows you to access multiple connections at the same time. This can be done via the comprehensive sidebar. To create a new connection, all you need to do is specify the name, hostname and IP address, as well as domain and protocol. If login is necessary, you also have to enter a username and password.
Extra functions
Additionally, you are able to create categories and assign connections to different folders to have a better overview when you are handling multiple hosts. A successful connection will show the screen of the computer that is being remotely controlled.
Other functions include a SSH file transfer tool, which allows you to move files between hosts. There is also a scanner component that reveals ports that are open or closed. If you want a utility designed specifically for this purpose, you may use Advanced Port Scanner.
