Motorola Phone Tools is a Windows utility for copying information from the phone internal memory to the hard drive and vice versa. There are tools for creating and restoring backups.

Data transfer

This program lets users connect mobile devices via USB cable, Bluetooth or infrared port. After establishing a link it is possible to manage internal phone data from the desktop.

You can synchronize all contacts and calendar entries between the mobile device and the computer. There is support for the Microsoft Outlook, Exchange and Lotus Notes phonebooks. Moreover, there is an option to transfer contacts from one Motorola phone to another. Documents, songs and video clips can be copied as well.

Please note that Motorola Phone Tools is an obsolete software and no longer supported by the developer. However, there are other programs such as RSD Lite for managing Motorola devices.

Communication

Instruments for sending SMS from the computer are available. Users are able to manage existing messages and configure advanced options like the callback number and delivery reports. Additionally, there are tools for creating and sharing MMS with included images and sounds. Users can preview messages before sending them.

It is possible to connect to the internet on the desktop via the phone. Proxy server parameters and other settings are provided. You are able to create several connection profiles and quickly switch between them.
