Mixamo Fuse is a Windows software for generating and animating 3D characters. Similar to MotionBuilder, resulting models can be imported into a computer game. There are flexible substance parameters that let users create rough edges on clothing items.

Character creation

After starting the program you can view all available options for the head, torso, arms and legs. It is possible to select any item and automatically add matching parts. Additional settings are available for every element. For example, there are sliders for tuning the arm length, bicep size, finger length and other physical characteristics.

A large collection of clothing items is provided. Users are able to choose from hundreds of tops, bottoms, shoes, hats, eyewear, gloves and masks. Moreover, multiple hair styles, beards and mustaches are included. Every texture can be manually configured to add a wear effect and change the original color.

Animation

You are instructed to register an account on the official website to rig and animate the character. The model will be uploaded to the remote server for processing and rendering various movements.
