Millenaire
Millenaire is a special modification for Minecraft that allows you to populate the world by adding NPC villages to it. What is more, there are 11th century Norman, North, Indian, Mayans, Japanese, Byzantine and additional cultures planned as well. The program provides access to pre-generated independent settlements that will develop and trade with the player. You can complete quests, place custom blocks and collect items in both single and multiplayer modes.
Settlement lifecycle
Generally, villages are populated with men, women and children of various kinds. They all perform tasks such as trading, expanding current buildings or improving existing ones, cultivating crops such as wheat and rice. As the settlement becomes larger the number of characters increases as couples have children who grow up to become adults.
The mod gives you the ability to help villages by trading items with them and be rewarded with unique food, or statues and tapestries to decorate your house with. If your reputation among them grows, they may even build you a residence of your own. If you want to have relationships with villagers, you may use another mod called Minecraft Comes Alive.
Independent villages
The NPC settlements that randomly appear on the map when exploring the map are called independent villages. This means you can interact with them but not control them. In order to find one, all you need to do is travel the world. If you do that enough, you will get a message when a new one is found. It is also possible to press the V key to get a listing of nearby villages.
