This application was designed to help users process meteorological information. In addition, it is possible to interpolate data from multiple weather stations.
Meteonorm
Meteonorm is a program for Windows that contains weather data which you can retrieve in over thirty-five data formats. Thus, it is possible to use an Excel file for manual analysis or as an import to your solar thermal, photovoltaic or building simulation utilities. If you want to simply look up the current weather in your location, you may use a simple app called MSN Weather.
General notes
The software solution offers several weather stations and five geostationary satellites. Basically, it calculates hour or minute values of a typical meteorological year based on a stochastic model. It is possible to process station, interpolated or imported data. The results then can be used for the design of energy systems.
Download or import data
What is more, you have the option to download current monthly values of temperature and radiation to be used for calculations. However, you are also able to import your own data into the application and generate your own records.
Interpolation models
Usually measurement data are only relevant close to the corresponding station. For more remote locations, the program interpolates the data from different sources. The sophisticated models allow for a reliable calculation of solar radiation, temperature and additional parameters anywhere in the world.
