Metasploit is a Windows program for evaluating the security level of any utility or website. Users can apply various network exploits and test their effectiveness. All interactions are performed via the command-line interface.

Overview

This software lets you run a wide variety of tests to determine the protection level of the operating system, network, application or website. All potential vulnerabilities will be automatically detected during the evaluation.

There are complex penetration algorithms and testing strategies for locating hidden threats. Users are able to check the effectiveness of the system firewall as well. Instruments for scheduling regular vulnerability evaluations and prioritizing individual tasks over others are provided.

Please note that your default antivirus app will detect multiple threats during the installation process due to the nature of Metasploit. You can disable the system protection or run the test in a virtualized environment like VMware.

Blind test

An option to simulate an anonymous attack with unknown parameters is included. This feature allows users to implement rapid response procedures for incident identification.
