MetadataFox is a Windows tool that lets you view metadata tags embedded into multimedia files and other packages. It is possible to export collected information as a CSV document for further processing. Please note that the free trial version of MetadataFox has limited capabilities and will stop working 14 days after activation.

Efficient data extraction

The main window contains instruments for navigating to the target directory. Additionally, users are instructed to choose the correct metadata type from the drop down menu to display all compatible files in the selected folder. The list of supported tags includes:

Name;
Keywords;
Creator;
Description;
Modification date. etc.

Like in TagScanner, you can sort the contents by any attribute, simplifying navigation in a large archive. Moreover, there is an option to filter certain extensions and focus only on relevant items. Instruments for saving metadata values in a separate document are provided as well.

Photographers are able to easily access EXIF data like camera model, exposure settings and GPS coordinates embedded into their photos, which is perfect for media management. Additionally, the application helps academics extract information from PDFs for a more efficient research material organization.
