McAfee Endpoint Security is an program for Windows that provides multiple defense mechanisms for computers against virus attacks, or malware transmitted via global network. Thus, you are able to detect and block threats to your system using an integrated firewall.

Overview

The software solution features an intuitive administration panel to help you monitor the status of its modules, access the activity logs and browse the quarantined files. Similar to McAfee VirusScan Enterprise, the workstation is analyzed in real-time by the client.

However, you can always start a new on-demand scan. You have two options to choose from, namely quick and full. Custom analysis is not available, but you have the ability to process individual items and directories by right-clicking.

Functionality

There are three separate modules, namely Threat Prevention, Firewall and Web Control. What is more, the application comes with both signature-based and behavioral detection engines, which complement each other to create a powerful protection shield.

After a suspicious file is discovered, the utility warns you and prompts you to pick an action, while logging the event at the same time. The quarantine section safely stores dangerous items until you decide to remove them completely.
