With the help of this software users can render realistic 3D environments created in Maxwell Studio and other graphics editors. The sampling level is adjustable.
Maxwell Render
Maxwell Render is a Windows application for rendering 3D scenes. Supported input image formats include EXR, MXI, HDR, TGA, TIFF, PNG, BMP and JPG. Several render channels for compositing tasks are available.
Brief description
This utility contains instruments for spectral calculation of lighting sources. Unlike in LightWave and other graphics editors, the rendering process will go on until you stop it, getting progressively cleaner and cleaner. The whole scene is processed simultaneously.
Rendering parameters
Users can specify a custom target sampling level. This attribute indicates the rendering quality. Setting a higher SL value ensures better results, but may take up much more time.
Separate channels for shadows, motion vectors, Z-Buffer and other components are included. You are able to render diffused and reflective elements individually.
SimuLens
There are tools for simulating the shape of the camera diaphragm to create photorealistic lens diffractions known as glare. This effect occurs when light passes through small holes and causes interference patterns. Lens scattering can be emulated as well.
