Lumion is a Windows application that lets you create detailed 3D buildings and nature scenes. It is possible to change lighting parameters in real time. You can import models from other graphics editors like Blender and Autodesk 3ds Max.

Main capabilities

After starting the utility users are able to begin a new project from scratch. Alternatively, there is an option to choose one of the included environments such as the plains, beach, forest, mountain range, desert, tropics, suburban and winter.

You can insert 3D models from a provided large collection. It is grouped in several categories:

nature;
people and animals;
transport;
miscellaneous objects.

There are thousands of trees, flowers, plants, bushes, rocks and other elements for recreating complex realistic scenes. Users are able to add various human models as well as dogs, cats and farm animals. Cars, trucks, buses, trains and other vehicles are available. Every object can be resized to better fit the layout.

Visual adjustments

Options for tuning the exposure and correcting the color temperature are provided. Moreover, it is possible to change the brightness, contrast, gamma and saturation of the picture.

You are able to add weather effects like rain and snow. Additionally, there are options for applying artistic filters to make the scene look like a cartoon or an oil painting.
