Live2D Cubism is a Windows software for generating 2D animated images, characters and scenes. It is possible to adjust the color and shape of every element. Users can create complex sequences with multiple movements.

Model creation

This application contains flexible tools for manually drawing 2D characters. You are able to customize the eye color, skin tones, hairstyle and other physical attributes of the model. Moreover, it is possible to add various clothing items and accessories to the character. All meshes can be deformed manually to better fit the project.

Please note that the free trial version of L:ive2D Cubism has limited functionality and will expire 42 days after installation.

Animation

After creating the model users can define motion sequences to create animations. There is a timeline for navigating through the scene. Similar to CyberMotion 3D Designer, instruments for rotating and warping separate objects are provided.

You are able to change the texture opacity and activate the invert mask to blend rough edges and ensure smooth movements.

Export

Resulting animation sequences can be saved as GIF files or MPEG video clips. Additionally, there is an option to export the project as a still JPG or PSD image. The output resolution and magnification level are adjustable.
