LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT is a software package for Windows that allows you to use a robotics kit of the same name. It includes both the integrated development environment as well as the NXT programming language.

Application description

The utility features a variety of useful tools for creating scenarios for LEGO robots. It consists of two interrelated components. One for data logging, and the other for programming.

The development environment utilizes the NXT-G language which is installed automatically with the software. Additionally, it includes both sound and graphics editors that can be used to configure the robot microcomputer.

Building a robot

Users are able to access different building instructions in the Robo Center window. Each one comes with a video guide for construction and programming steps. They range from simple to very complex. It is possible to download ready-made tasks online and upload them to the robot’s microcomputer using USB or Bluetooth.

How to create a scenario

Similar to Roblox Studio, you do not need to follow complicated syntax requirements or learn special keywords. Scenarios are created by dragging, dropping and then configuring different types of blocks. Every block performs a specific function. They can be used to control movement, display messages, play sounds and more.
