Jitsi Meet is an open source Windows application that allows users to start new video conferences and join existing meetings. It is intended for communicating with relatives, friends or colleagues.

How it works

Like in VooV Meeting, you can join a meeting by entering its name or using an automatically generated link. It is not necessary to create an account to communicate via Jitsi Meet. There are instruments for sharing the screen with other people as well as for exchanging photos, videos and text documents. Additionally, an option to record video conferences to a separate file is provided. All communications are protected by the modern end to end encryption algorithm to ensure full anonymity and data security.

Customization

It is possible to personalize the meeting by changing the default theme, background image and emojis. Moreover, users are able to add company branding and domain name to the layout.

This utility can be integrated with other platforms, including Slack, Google Calendar, YouTube and Dropbox. There is an API for embedding the service into any website or app.

The Jitsi Meet project is maintained by a community of volunteers and contributors on GitHub. New improvements and functions are implemented regularly.
