iZotope RX is a Windows audio editor. It allows users to perform high-quality restoration of sound recordings. Similar to Nuendo, there are tools for erasing hum, crackle, hiss, clicks and other noises. Please note that saving is disabled in free trial mode.

File import

After starting the program you can add new audio tracks for editing. Supported formats include MP3, AAC, OGG, FLAC, WAV and WMA. Moreover, there is an integrated signal generator.

Restoration process

One of the main features of this software is improving sound quality and removing interference. This functionality is helpful for restoring songs from old cassettes or vinyl records. Special noise canceling algorithms allow users to quickly achieve good results. An AC hum cleanup module is available as well.

The Azimuth plugin is intended for synchronizing the timing between several channels. Additionally, you can normalize the playback speed and volume levels.

There is a multiband equalizer for fine-tuning individual sound frequencies. Spectral analysis tools are included. Users are able to clean up dialogues in movies by applying the de-reverb filter to the audio track.
