ION EZ VHS Converter is a Windows program for transforming VHS cassettes to video files. There is support for ION EZ devices. Users are able to edit captured clips and burn the resulting movies onto DVDs. Instruments for sharing media content online are provided as well.

Recording process

The first step is to install the included system driver for the ION converter. After that you can set up the utility, connect the device and begin capturing output from the cassette. It is possible to select the correct audio and video sources in the Settings menu. There is an option to switch between the PAL and NTSC image standards.

Users can enable hardware acceleration on compatible computers. This feature is helpful for ensuring smooth capture by utilizing additional GPU and CPU resources.

Editing

Similar to Honestech VHS to DVD, instruments for trimming resulting clips to delete unwanted sections are included. Moreover, you are able to adjust the brightness and contrast to increase image quality. Several common output video file formats are supported.
