Using this utility professional dentists can render detailed 3D jaw models based on CT scan and MRI results. It is possible to adjust image lighting and opacity.
InVivoDental
InVivoDental is a Windows application that empowers users to analyze 3D visualizations of dental scans. There are instruments for viewing individual teeth, full jaws, sinuses and surrounding structures. Please note that InVivoDental is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.
Visualization
You can import pictures in common file formats such as DICOM, STL and PLY, integrating data from different sources for a better understanding. This flexibility is helpful when combining CBCT scans with 3D printed surgical guides or processing facial features for esthetic planning.
The color, opacity and brightness of each element are adjustable. Users are able to isolate areas of interest, add virtual section planes and perform measurements with pinpoint accuracy.
Implant planning
Similar to inLab, it is possible to evaluate bone density and analyze jaw lines in preparation for treatment. Moreover, an option to simulate implant placement for fitting purposes is included. This is helpful for reducing procedure duration and greatly increasing surgical predictability.
