Inpaint is a Windows application for retouching digital pictures. There are instruments for seamlessly erasing undesired objects such as the watermarks and date stamps. Moreover, it is possible to remove any large details and replace them with the background.

How it works

This program lets users delete objects from a photo in several easy steps. First of all, it is necessary to import the image for processing. Various popular file formats are supported.

The next step is to choose the section for erasing. You can draw it with the resizable marker or create a polygonal selection by clicking around the required area. Alternatively, it is possible to use the Magic Wand tool. Like in Photoshop, this instrument is intended for automatically selecting the section based on color similarity. All markings can be cleared with the included eraser. There are buttons for zooming in and out of the picture to work on small details.

Removing process

After selecting the objects users can click the Erase button to delete them from the photo. This app tries to fill the gaps with the background image. The results may vary depending on the complexity and size of the object.
