How to use DLL libraries

The included ZIP archive can be extracted anywhere on the hard drive. To activate the functionality, users are prompted to copy the imapi2.dll file into the System32 folder located in the main Windows directory. No additional installation is necessary.

Main functionality

This DLL package is a critical component of native Windows programs such as Media Player, Windows Movie Maker, DVD Maker and Explorer. It is used for authoring and recording CD and DVD discs. Additionally, the software allows you to work with the ISO archives.

The Image Mastering API provides low-level access to the file system of the optical media for writing the data. Every popular disc format such as CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, BD-R and other options are supported.

The main limitation of this API is the lack of tools for editing disc image archives. While the ISO files can be generated, modifying them is impossible.
