icofx is a Windows program that contains a graphics editor. It is intended for creating, modifying and extracting icon images. Various drawing tools such as brushes and color gradients are available. Additionally, you can insert standard geometric shapes and arrows into the workspace.

Project types

This application allows users to design icons for Windows or MacOS from scratch. Alternatively, it is possible to quickly convert BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF pictures to the icon file format. Instruments for generating unique mouse cursors are provided as well.

Drawing process

Similar to Paint 3D, there are multiple brushes with varying hardness and shape. You can apply special effects, change the transparency level and adjust the color scheme. Moreover, this software contains a large library of arrows, lines, shapes and other graphical elements.

Users are able to rearrange individual layers and combine objects together. The included resource editor provides tools for creating icon libraries and extracting pictures from executable files.

Supported visual adjustments include color temperature, color saturation and brightness. Resulting icons can be saved as standard images.
