Hydronics Design Studio is a Windows software that is oriented toward hydro engineers. It contains modules for simulating heat loss, calculating fluid properties and sizing various plumbing pipes.

Main capabilities

This application allows you to prepare exact heat load estimates for various types of buildings. There is support for modern construction elements like structural insulated panels and protected concrete forms. It is possible to specify different materials for floors, ceilings, walls, windows and doors.

Sizing tools

Users are able to calculate the minimum volume of an expansion tank that is necessary for the closed-loop heating system. The amount of needed antifreeze fluid and tubing diameter can be estimated as well.

Like in PipeData PRO, advanced instruments for determining the appropriate size of copper and PLX pipes are provided. You can manually set the maximum flow velocity and adjust fluid temperature parameters. Moreover, there is an option to calculate estimated heat loss, pressure drop and other pipe properties.
