The main purpose of this command line utility is measuring network latency and performance. It is possible to ping remote servers and record response times.
hrPing
hrPing is a Windows software for diagnosing potential network delay issues. Users can send data packets to specific remote servers and calculate how long it takes to receive a response. Every ping result is displayed with precise timestamps, enabling detailed tracking and analysis.
Network testing
With the help of this application you are able to monitor traffic round trip times with sub millisecond precision, which is a significant advantage over other similar solutions such as FREEping. It is possible to identify performance issues that could otherwise go unnoticed due to inaccurate measurements.
There is support for several ping methods like ICMP and UDP. This flexibility empowers users to evaluate performance in different ways depending on specific needs of the local network environment. Additionally, CLI arguments to configure the following parameters are available:
- Number of packets;
- Timeout;
- Target host name, etc.
Output options
You can log all measurements to a separate text file, adding timestamps in front of each line. Resulting documents may be edited in another program and shared with other people.
Features
- free to download and use;
- lets you detect potential network performance issues by pinging specific servers;
- supports several connection protocols to suit personal requirements;
- it is possible to export measurement results for further processing;
- compatible with all modern versions of Windows.
