HlTagConverter is a lightweight program for Windows that enables you to create personalized logos for Counter Strike 1.6. The procedure itself is quite straightforward as it requires you to perform only a handful of steps.

Launch and interface

It is worth pointing out that the tool does not need to be installed on your computer to be used successfully. In order to start it, all you have to do is double-click the executable file. The graphical interface is based on a standard window with a large preview area and a few buttons located on the side panel for accessing main functions. Alternatively, you may try another piece of software called Half Life Logo Creator, which comes with a more complex layout.

Convert logo

After launching the utility, you can push the Open Image button and specify the folder where it is located. The picture will be loaded into the workspace and available for preview. The next step is to adjust the logo by clicking on the corresponding option.

Then, the application will transform the image into the 256-color palette. Please note that after processing the results might appear less bright than the original. When you have a compatible image, you need to export it as a file with WAD extension and place it into the appropriate Counter Strike folder.
