Hitachi LifeStudio is a Windows program for backing up important files and directories. Users can copy data to an external drive, optical disc or cloud storage platform. Please note that Hitachi LifeStudio is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.

Main functionality

You can schedule regular backups of specific files at predefined intervals. This is helpful for keeping sensitive information safe at all times and preventing data loss in case of accidental deletion or hardware failure.

Like VMware Consolidated Backup, the utility supports backing up to another hard drive, external storage device or remote network location. Additionally, it is possible to keep track of different versions of the same file, allowing users to roll back the changes if necessary.

Security

Backed up files can be protected to prevent unauthorized copying and modification of confidential information. There is support for the powerful AES 126 encryption standard. Moreover, an option to configure custom access privileges for individual user accounts is provided.
