HDDErase is a Windows program for securely wiping HDDs and SSDs. Like Active KillDisk, it allows you to erase confidential information and ensure the impossibility of future data restoration.

How to use

It is necessary to unpack the provided ISO disk image to a USB Flash drive, blank CD or an external hard drive. The next step is to boot the computer from that storage device. HDDErase runs before the operating system to bypass certain Windows limitations. After users agree to proceed with the operation, files from all connected internal HDDs and SSDs will be permanently wiped.

You can monitor the deletion process by keeping track of the progress bar at the top of the screen. The computer will be automatically restarted upon finishing all required operations.

Technical details

There is support for the Secure Erase data sanitization method. This algorithm is widely recognized as one of the best possible options for securely deleting information from storage devices.
