HammerHead is a Windows tool that allows you to record audio samples containing drum beats. There are six customizable sound channels with separate reverb controls. Like in Groove Agent, an option to fine tune distortion feedback strength is available.

Content creation

Users can configure unique drum loops, which is ideal for music genres such as techno, house and hip hop. It is possible to incorporate built in samples into the project as well, including:

Snares;
Hi hats;
Percussion and more.

There are tools for programming multiple patterns and stringing them together, creating a full song structure. You are able to adjust advanced tempo and swing parameters to personalize the grooves. Clicking the Play button starts the sequence.

Export options

Resulting recordings can be saved to the hard drive in the WAV format, facilitating easy file sharing. Moreover, instruments to capture the raw data stream are provided. Users may choose to grab the entire session or export only the current measure. This is particularly beneficial for further processing in another digital audio workstation app.
