Guitar Rig
Guitar Rig is a Windows application that contains a virtual guitar processor. Users can receive and distort the signal from a musical instrument connected to the computer. Like TuxGuitar, this software offers tools for simulating various sound filters. It is possible to add fade out effects as well as enhance and normalize the volume. There is a multi-band equalizer for manipulating individual frequencies and other audio characteristics.
Included components
The utility contains multiple virtual amplifiers designed according to real models. They include AC Box, Bass Pro, Citrus, Gratifier, Hot Plex, Tweedman, Ultrasonic, Rammfire, Twang Reverb, High White and other popular brands.
You can combine multiple input sources with the microphone track. Standard VST plugins for expanding basic capabilities of the program are supported.
Audio processing
There are instruments for adding filters and special effects to the sound. Moreover, users are able to attenuate or boost the output signal.
Tools like the digital metronome and tuner are intended to help you compose new audio tracks. Several echo and reverberation options are included as well. Please note that the free demo version of Guitar Rig provides limited functionality.
