GS Advanced Editor is a tone editing program for Windows created specifically for the SC-8850 sound module. With its help, you can set values which determine how tones are altered. This means you can modify the sound in various ways.

The software features support for Sysex and MIDI export. Thus, you can use the audio files with other sequencing solutions. It is worth noting that there is a GS Picture Book to help you get started manipulating over one hundred different musical instruments.

The graphical user interface relies on a standard layout. All UI elements are arranged within a single window by default. However, it is possible to detach sections from the workspace and move them around as needed.

Compatibility and performance

Please note that the application is designed for the SC-8850 sound module. It provides sound editing and control capabilities for its effects and parameters. Alternatively, you may try another program for processing audio called Virtual Sound Canvas.

When it comes to performance, the software requires a moderate amount of system resources. Nevertheless, there are certain difficulties with compatibility on modern operating systems. It is recommended to install the utility on older Windows versions such as XP.
