GP Pro EX is a Windows application for building and modifying menu screens for multiple devices from Schneider Electric. There is support for a wide variety of professional HMI hardware.

Device options

After starting the utility users can create a new project. The first step is to select the device from a drop-down menu. A large library of Human Machine Interface units is available. Technical details such as the screen size, resolution, color space and internal memory are provided. All USB and COM ports are listed as well.

You can change the default programmable logic controller and adjust advanced communication parameters.

Please note that this utility does not support Schneider Electric motor control devices. Users can download SoMove to work with this hardware.

Menu design

It is possible to add new base screens with customizable buttons. Moreover, you are able to place graphs, keypads, clocks and message displays. Every element can be modified by double-clicking on it in the main window. Instruments for drawing lines and various shapes are available as well.

The color scheme is adjustable. Users can choose any hue from the included palette or switch to the monochrome mode. There is an option to preview the menu before exporting it to the device.

It is important to mention that GP Pro EX is distributed on a commercial basis. The free trial version supports only GP4100 Series models.
