This extension for the popular online multiplayer video game World of Warcraft allows you to view enemy unit frames in arenas for easier targeting and focusing.
Gladius
Gladius is a Windows tool that contains a Word of Warcraft modification. It adds enemy portrait frames to the internal game interface. Users can view healthbars, mana counters and information about the currently active spells.
Setup
After downloading the provided archive you are instructed to copy its contents to the Interface/AddOns subdirectory in the main WoW location. The next step is to launch the game, open the Modifications menu and enable the plugin.
It is worth noting that Gladius 3.3.5a is compatible only with the Wrath of the Lich King WoW expansion. Users can find older mod versions for previous game editions online.
There are applications for developing new WoW extensions such as AceAddon.
New capabilities
With the help of this mod you are able to easily target enemies in arenas by clicking their portraits. Details about the current health and mana level of every player are displayed in the frames as well. Additionally, all portraits contain the corresponding class icon for quick identification.
The plugin provides information about the current spell being cast by the enemy. This data can be used to plan counter attacks and activate defensive measures.
