GeoCoPS
GeoCoPS is an interactive program for Windows designed to facilitate geospatial data analysis and visualization. It is aimed at professional researchers, and provides a powerful set of tools for designing geosynthetic tubes.
Principle of operation
The comprehensive utility is capable of producing the geometry of the cylinder as well as the circumferential and longitudinal required strength of the encapsulating material. The computations account for reduction factors related to such factors as seam toughness, durability, creep, and installation damage.
When it comes to obtaining results, they are achieved by solving a differential equation subjected to design constraints. It is worth noting that you do not have to manually perform these calculations, as the software conducts them automatically.
Advanced analysis
Output is presented in graphical form, and the cross-section of the tube can be saved in BMP format. If you want to further modify the file, you may use a wide range of CAD applications, such as TurboCAD, MegaCAD, AutoCAD, and others.
Additionally, most word processors are capable of retrieving data for integration into custom reports. As for coordinates, they can be exported to Excel extensions. Please note that the program is no longer supported nor maintained by the developers.
