Gekokujo is a Windows utility that allows you to integrate a mod into the popular Mount and Blade Warband video game. Like Fossils and Archeology Revival, it contains new storylines and special items. There are large maps based on real life locations in Japan.

How to setup

After starting the downloaded executable file users are prompted to specify the path to the main game directory. The rest of the process is done automatically. Please note that Gekokujo officially supports only Mount and Blade Warband 1.158. Compatibility with earlier or newer versions is not guaranteed.

Mod overview

This software is intended for completely overhauling the original gameplay process by moving the story to the medieval Japanese setting. Available factions include Ashikaga Shogunate, Oda Clan, Ikko Ikki Rebels, Ronin and many other options. Every clan has unique abilities and troop trees that are designed to accurately reflect the strengths and weaknesses of each faction.

There are multiple detailed maps with castles, towns, villages, fields and forests. Users can enable traditional Japanese background music to enhance the immersion.
