Gadwin PrintScreen is a Windows software for taking screenshots. You can configure keyboard shortcuts for capturing the active window or a custom rectangular area. It is possible to automatically add timestamps or other information to recorded images.

Usage instructions

After installing the program it can be accessed via the system tray. Right-clicking the icon opens a menu with options such as capturing various sections of the display or opening a settings menu. Users are able to view the screenshot history as well.

The capture widget can be activated. It is a small window with several buttons for accessing all main functionality. You are able to automatically hide it when taking screenshots.

Settings

There are options for running the program on system startup, showing notification messages and toggling camera shutter sounds. Like in Desktop Screenshot Whiz, users are able to customize keyboard shortcuts for capturing the full screen, active window or a rectangular display section.

The resulting images can be automatically resized to fix predefined width and height parameters. A checkbox for maintaining the aspect ratio in the process is provided. It is possible to add shadows to the screenshots as well as convert them to the grayscale format.
