Freecorder is a Windows application for integrating a plugin in Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. It allows you to grab the video clip from any website and save it to the hard drive. Additionally, it is possible to convert files to MP3, MPEG4 and other common formats.

How to install

Users can run the included executable file to integrate the plugin. It is necessary to close the corresponding web browser for correct setup. Several new toolbar buttons will be available after installation.

Grabbing videos

The destination directory can be specified in the settings. The temporary storage size is adjustable as well. It is possible to select the audio capture bitrate.

To download a video you can click the corresponding button in the browser toolbar. A window with all media files detected on a page will pop up. It is possible to select the correct item and the required quality.

Additional options

This program contains instruments for converting audio and video files to several common formats such as MP3, AVI, MPEG4 and other containers. Moreover, users can create clips that are suitable for smartphones and other mobile devices.

Please note that Freecorder is an obsolete software and no longer supported by the developer. It cannot be integrated in a modern browser.
