Fox Video Converter is a Windows utility for turning movies and clips to different formats such as AVI, MP4, 3GP, MPEG, MOV, WMV and SWF. Moreover, you are able to convert audio tracks to MP3, AC3 or AAC files. There is a tool for burning the resulting videos to DVD-Video discs.

Conversion process

After starting the software users can add new media files by dragging and dropping them into the workspace. Alternatively, there is a Browse button for navigating to the required items. It is possible to import multiple clips and rearrange their order in the queue.

The next step is to select the resulting format, specify the output directory and configure quality parameters. There are multiple predefined profiles for every file type. You can manually edit output image dimensions and aspect ratio. A slider for adjusting the overall bitrate is available as well.

Users are instructed to click the Convert button for starting the operation. There are checkboxes for deleting the source file after encoding and shutting down the computer after the conversion is complete.

DVD burner

Similar to Nero, this application lets you record movies to DVD-Video discs. Several chapter menu templates are provided. You can select the correct optical drive and tune the writing speed. There is an option to verify the data after burning.
