Folder Tweaker is an intuitive program for Windows designed to help you change the icon and the background of any folder on your personal computer. It comes equipped with a simple interface, multiple features and minimum configuration requirements.

Customize folders

First of all, you need to provide the path to a specific folder. Then you can select an icon and a background directly from the main window. By default, the utility reads the Windows built-in media packs, but you have the ability to use your own graphics stored on the hard drive.

Changing the background picture is quite easy. In order to do this, you have to browse for the photo you wish to use and open it with the tool. Moreover, you are able to change the info tip and the text color, which may be either black or white.

Drawbacks

It is necessary to point out that the software solution does not provide a function to restore the configuration to the original settings. Thus, you cannot automatically remove the new background and icon. It is also not possible to create backups, so in case something goes wrong, you have to resolve the issues manually.
