FLVTO is a Windows web service for transferring YouTube video clips to the hard drive. Available output file formats include MP4 and WEBM. Moreover, users are able to convert source videos to MP3 audio tracks.

Usage instructions

After opening the official webpage you can type in the required URL or paste it from the clipboard. The next step is to click the Download button to view the video thumbnail. An option to copy the audio track to the hard drive will become available at this stage.

There is a button for showing all possible video download options. Users are able to select the resulting resolution from a drop-down menu. The output format is customizable as well. The estimated final filesize is displayed alongside every option. Acquired clips can be opened in VLC Media Player or any other similar program.

It is recommended to add the website to your bookmark list for quickly accessing it when the need arises.

Web application

Users can integrate a standalone version of the converter into Chrome or another browser. This functionality is helpful for opening the utility in a separate window. The web app interface is identical to the main version.
