FLIP Fluids is a Windows application that lets you install a plugin for the popular 3D editor Blender. With the help of this add-on it is possible to design water animations with flexible fluid parameters.

How to install

Users are instructed to open the Preferences panel from the Edit menu and navigate to the Add-ons tab. The next step is to click the Install button and specify the path to the plugin.

It is necessary to activate the main functionality by marking the checkbox against the new add-on. Finally, you can click the Complete Installation button in the plugin properties or restart Blender to fully integrate new capabilities.

How it works

There is a beginner friendly mode available for non-experienced users. Moreover, it is possible to display helpful documentation links directly in the interface.

You can transform any 3D object into a fluid item via the Physics Properties side panel. There are several model types such as domain, obstacle, inflow, fluid, force field and outflow. Multiple presets are provided for various substances like beer, coffee, milk, water, etc.

Every category has additional flexible parameters for designing unique and realistic effects. Users are able to adjust the fluid speed and change the flow direction.
