FilterCAD is a Windows software that lets you design schematics for hardware filter ICs. It is possible to enter detailed specifications and automatically produce the corresponding component layout.

Quick design

This mode lets users generate the schematics by selecting the required filter type and adjusting various antenna parameters. Checkboxes for adding linear phase and enhancing DC accuracy are available as well.

You can change the incoming voltage value and choose all necessary switched capacitors. Final schematic includes a detailed frequency response graph and list of used electrical components.

Advanced functionality

It is possible to manually tune the passband gain and rearrange the channels. Users are able to implement active RC elements to improve the overall antenna performance and signal stability.

Similar to PSpice, instruments for simulating electrical current are provided. You can test the schematic and identify potential technical issues. This functionality is helpful for optimizing the design and removing artificial bottlenecks. Finished layouts may be saved to the hard drive or sent to the printer.
