FFMPEG
FFMPEG is a Windows open source application that contains a collection of system libraries for processing audio tracks and video clips. Users can play and convert media files. Unlike in Avid Media and other similar software, there is no graphical interface. All work is carried out through the command line.
Conversion process
You are able to transfer media files to different formats. It is possible to adjust the resulting quality, framerate, image dimensions and other parameters. Moreover, instruments for applying custom complex filters to process video clips are included.
An option to copy the stream is available. This functionality is helpful for simply editing the file extension or modifying metadata on the container level.
Users can scale and encode video on the fly. Additionally, there are tools for merging several clips together and creating seamless frame transitions. It is easy to split audio streams into separate frequency ranges as well as remove noise and interference artifacts.
Player
The package includes the ffplayer utility. It is intended for watching movies and listening to music. Tools for adding subtitles or audio tracks to the output video stream are provided.
