FaxWorks
FaxWorks is a Windows utility for working with faxes. Instruments for customizing the main interface to better fit your needs are provided. Please note that FaxWorks is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. It is not compatible with modern Microsoft OS versions.
Fax management
Users can import images and documents in multiple common formats, including PDF, TIFF, BMP, PCX, DCX, GIF, TGA and JPG. There are tools for editing input files and sending them as fax messages. A modem is necessary for communicating over the telephone lines.
It is possible to receive faxes and convert them to editable documents with the help of the integrated OCR module similar to ABBYY FineReader. Resulting files can be saved in the DOC, RTF or TXT format.
The program supports systems with multiple modems. This functionality is helpful for gathering all fax messages from different numbers into a single database.
Phonebook
You are able to store up to 5000 contacts with detailed information about the person or organization such as the phone number, name and address. The library can be backed up to a text file for migrating to another computer.
