FastPictureViewer Codec is a Windows utility for integrating into the OS all components that are required to open various image formats. It is possible to work with RAW photos from more than 580 digital camera models.

What it does

After installing this software users can access PSD, TGA and other unusual types of images directly in Windows Photo Viewer. Moreover, thumbnails for Google SketchUp and Adobe InDesign are generated automatically.

There is support for 48 file extensions like DNG, CR2, NEF, PERF, RAF, ORF, SRW, etc. You are able to open Radiance HDR, PNM and DDS pictures as well. Moreover, it is possible to view and modify photos from modern DSLR cameras.

It is important to mention that FastPictureViewer Codec is not compatible with Windows 10 and newer. The latest versions of the Microsoft operating system support almost all existing picture formats by default.

Advanced functions

With the help of this tool users can bridge the gap between Photoshop and rare image files. An option to open any RAW photo in the popular Adobe graphics editor is provided.

You are able to generate small thumbnails for Windows Explorer regardless of the file format. This is helpful for sorting and organizing a large picture collection.
