FaceGen Modeller is a Windows software for generating 3D models of faces. You can select the racial group, gender and personal skin features. There are multiple supported output file formats. You are able to export the project to Blender and other similar programs for further editing.

Face generation

After starting the utility users can choose a photo that will be the basis for the model. Alternatively, there is an option to create a new face by selecting the race and gender. Instruments for adding wrinkles and moles to the skin are provided along with a library of premade templates for men and women.

The next step is to specify the age and adjust the head shape. You can hold down the Ctrl key, left-click and drag any point to manually distort the face. There are sliders for tuning the position and shape of the brows, cheekbones, chin, cheeks, eyes, forehead, jaw, mouth, nose and other facial features. It is possible to change the color of separate elements as well.

Export options

This program supports various popular output formats such as OBJ, WRL, STL, 3DS, FBX and other types. Users are able to save the textures as the PNG, JPEG, TGA or TIFF container. Flexible vertice transformation parameters are available.

It is worth noting that FaceGen Modeller is a paid tool. The free trial version leaves watermarks on resulting models.
