ExcelFIX is a Windows utility for recovering data from damaged Excel datasheets. There is support for various Office versions including 2013, 2016, 2019 and the modern 365 edition.

Areas of use

This program is helpful in case an XLS or XLSX file becomes unreadable. It can happen while transferring data on USB drives or recovering deleted information with apps like Handy Recovery. Users are able to fix files that take too long to open or save. Additionally, it is possible to remove the “Not enough memory” error when operating with large amounts of data.

How it works

The first step is to choose the required Excel spreadsheet. There is an option to select several items by clicking the Multi-file button. After scanning the package you can review the diagnostic results and adjust advanced recovery settings.

Users are able to restore raw number values from the file or try to repair internal document structure. The results can be previewed in the main window before saving. Checkboxes for including formulas, hyperlinks, page breaks, charts, pictures and other elements in the final spreadsheet are provided.

Please note that ExcelFIX is a paid software. The free trial version does not let you save recovered files and hides random data raws.
