EraserDrop Portable is a Windows tool for permanently wiping personal data from the hard drive, USB Flash sticks or other storage devices. It supports a range of file sanitation methods to guarantee that the target items are not recoverable.

Secure deletion

After starting the program users can drag and drop sensitive files onto the corresponding desktop panel to quickly remove them. There is an option to display a warning message before proceeding with the operation. Moreover, it is possible to display a detailed erasing report upon completion.

You are able to set a custom hotkey for instant file wiping, which is helpful for streamlining the workflow. Like in DBAN, there are instruments to select the preferred erasure method such as:

Gutmann;
DoD 8 306 E;
Schneier;
Pseudorandom, etc.

Advanced functionality

The default widget picture may be replaced with a custom image, personalizing the interface. Tools for manually cleaning up the Recycle Bin folder are provided. Furthermore, users can wipe free space in any logical partition to ensure that previously deleted files are not restorable even with specialized software.
