EPSON OPOS ADK is a program for Windows that provides standardized API functions that interact with peripherals used in POS systems through ActiveX controls that are capable of running in Visual Basic. With this set of application programming interfaces, you can easily develop powerful and open point of sale systems.

Setup

To install the utility, you can simply double-double click the installer’s icon and initiate the deployment process. Please note, it is necessary to terminate all applications, both those that use the OPOS files as well as other third-party programs. After installation is complete, you need to confirm the setup, such as port and device settings. You can use the SetupPOS tool to later reconfigure these parameters.

Development guides

The software package comes with various programming examples and explanations of factors governing peripherals. The detailed help guide is divided into common and device-specific subjects. The first portion contains information about OPOS and classes. The second section provides information about certain devices. It is recommended to go through the manual to learn if your equipment is compatible and what functions are supported.
