energyXT is a Windows software for recording music on the desktop. Users can add an unlimited number of MIDI, audio, drum and folder tracks. There are clip based automation tools and support for ghost parts. Please note that the free demo version of energyXT has limited capabilities.

Recording

You can use energyXT as a standalone application or as a plugin for other digital audio workstations like Bitwig Studio or SynthMaster. Moreover, the program is portable, which means that it may be launched from a USB flash drive without installation.

Options for customizing the default MIDI and audio routing are included. Users are able to create new virtual musical instruments and sound effects as well.

The integrated arpeggiator and swing/shuffle control modules are helpful for granular per sample editing. You can rearrange individual audio tracks in the workspace by dragging them around.

Available components

There is a collection of presets, loops and samples. Additionally, users are able to utilize the embedded sequencer and synthesizer to produce unique sounds. A variety of common audio effects and filters is provided as well.
