eMbedded Visual Tools is a Windows utility that contains instruments for developing applications for the discontinued Windows CE mobile operating system. Please note that eMbedded Visual Tools is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. It was replaced by Visual Studio.
Brief overview
The main purpose of this program is to allow developers to use familiar programming languages and IDEs. It is possible to create applications that will run on different mobile processors and devices. There is support for the MIPS and SuperH architectures as well as for modern ARM and x86 systems.
You can debug and test the code with the help of the embedded emulator. Alternatively, tools for connecting the device to the desktop via serial or USB port and running the app in a real environment are provided.

The Visual Basic component lets users design graphical interfaces. Moreover, there are instruments for accessing device-specific features like infrared ports and barcode scanners.
