Elastic Agent is a Windows software that provides instruments for monitoring active hosts and gathering technical information for further analysis. Users can query data from operating systems and forward traffic from remote servers. The command line interface makes it easy to quickly deploy Elastic Agent to multiple machines.

Brief description

Similar to vRealize Log Insight, this utility can be installed on host computers to collect log data. It is built on top of the Elastic Stack platform and lets you gather information from several sources at the same time.

Included components

The Beats module contains lightweight data shippers for processing incoming logs. Users are able to manage all consoles from a centralized interface and configure individual agents in the Fleet Server console.

You can protect active endpoints by encrypting the incoming and outgoing traffic for the hosts. This functionality is useful for ensuring personal data privacy and preventing potential attacks by malicious actors. Account credentials are stored in a secure enclave and can be accessed only by the administrator.
