This specialized software is intended for viewing, editing, refining and analyzing biosignal data stored in EDF, BDF, Nihon and other similar formats.
EDFbrowser
EDFbrowser is a Windows utility oriented toward scientific researchers, medical professionals and engineers. It helps users interpret biometric information, which is crucial in sleep studies and other fields like neurophysiology. The amplitude and timescale are fully customizable to match specific project requirements.
Visualization capabilities
You can view multiple signals simultaneously, simplifying comparison. There are flexible scaling tools to facilitate deeper analysis. Additionally, it is possible to extract meaningful insights from raw datasets by applying FFT algorithms and displaying accurate spectrograms. Individual frequencies may be isolated as well by configuring the following pass filters:
- High;
- Low;
- Band.
Annotation and export
Like in Biopac Student Lab, there are instruments for inserting personal comments and marking significant events directly within the app. This is particularly beneficial when trying to recognize repeating patterns. Moreover, users are able to send signal data to the connected printer or save it in different common formats, facilitating easy sharing and simplifying further manipulations.
